The Great New England Fall Color Ride 2000 - page four!

Sunday, let's see..who's left?

Tim, Darren and I! - that's who..

Originally planned was a four corner 400 mile trip of which folks were going to come around touring with me heading west first - for those folks have the longest trip ahead of them. This year, the numbers for Sunday riders were scarce thus I quickly gave up my ambitious plans to ride 400 miles. What I did, was ride out with Tim as far as I could and then turned around.

Sunday morning, I heard that the bridge of flowers in nearby Shelburne Falls, survived the early frosts.  Here in the picture, Darren could join us for the first bit  and that could be me the background..I dunno..

At Shelburne Falls - it's known for it's two landmarks - The Bridge of Flowers and The Potholes

Tim took a bunch of pictures (okay, most) - but I must comment on how great this picture above is.

We went down and checked out the "...ancient glacial potholes some as small as 6 inches in diameter to some as large as 39 feet across dot this natural wonder"

Way cool!  Just make sure you listen for the horn from the dam...

Tim and I  rode West along route 2 then North on route 8, then West again past Bennington. We ate lunch in New York state at a dairy bar past Route 22 in NY.. Tim hooked up on Route 20 east in New York and I headed for home.

It turned out to be another great day for riding!

I want to thank Tim D.,  Darren and Pam S. for the groovy pics!

and thank all the folks who joined me along the way...

Let's do it again!!
